Beware of skin-fitting jeans

  • Beware of skin-fitting jeans

Skinny Jeans has become a style tendency among the girls. No doubt, a jeans paired with the short tees or tops adds to ones stylish look but wearing this type of pants on daily basis can result in tremendous health problems.

Doctors are warning the possible risks of wearing skinny jeans after they received criticism from a woman. They found she was suffering from muscle & nerve damage wearing too tight pair of pants.

The unidentified 35 year old woman had come to hospital with complaint of ankle weakness & swelling in her lower legs. A published article said that she “recalled that her jeans had felt improving tight & uncomfortable during the day”.

The hospital doctors had to cut the jeans because they were so tight & found that she had harsh weakness in her ankles because her leg nerves had been damaged.

Doctors as investigating the case came to a conclusion that she was suffering from “compartment syndrome”, a dangerous condition where an injury leads to swelling of muscle or nerves that is restricted by a layer of tissue called the fascia.

Dr. Roy Buchinsky, Director of Wellness at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland said fascia surgery is one of the solutions for women suffering from inflamed muscles.

Further adding, he said in severe cases amputation has been used to help treat the patient.
