  Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is being given  royal ignore by Radhika Apte.

  Aishwarya Rai Bachchans’ Chokher Bali is one of her most appreciated films till date. The project was directed by ‘Rituparno Ghosh’ and got a National Award, owing to its brilliant cinematic representation. A revamped version of the same is being prepared for the small screen by Barfi, director, Anurag Basu who has shed Radhika Apte to play the role of Binodini. It is natural for any artist to refer to the work done by the previous actor when filling the shoes in a remake of sorts. But Radhika has chosen to give the Bachchan bahu and her highly praised project, a miss.

  And what is the reason for her decision? She wanted to work with fresh approach. She had utmost respect for every ones’ work. It is just that like any other actor shedo not want to be blinded or influenced. It is very unintentional at times. Both, Anurag and Radhika,  she felt that should have my own touch and feel for this character. At the risk of sounding selfish she would also say that, it would not be justice to me as an actor to have taken reference from someone else’s version of this character” justified Radhika.

  The actress will be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Hunters as well. The coming year is proving to be a good one for Ms Apte and we hope she does justice to Aishwarya’s role in the new version of Chokher Bali.
