Filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee is happy as his film has got U/A certificate with a few cuts from the Censor Board Officials.
CEO of CBFC Mr. Shravan Kumar said that, "A screening was held for Examining Committee, which recommended the grant for U/A with excisions. No request for constitution of Revising Committee has been made by the producers as on date."
Banerjee says, "Almost nothing was cut. Just a couple of fights...we were asked to reduce the length of those fights. I happily did that. I had absolutely no problems with the kissing or any of the other important scenes".
Banerjee is known for his projects such as "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!", "Shanghai". He says that he never has any problem with the censor board.
He added, "Not even in a politically volatile film like 'Shanghai'. Only once have I had a quibble with the censor board. It was for 'Love *** Aur Dhokha', where they knocked off a reference to a caste situation. That apart, the CBFC has always been fair to me."
He concluded, "I know it is fashionable to criticise the censor board. But sorry I don’t have any horror story of my own.”
